The Origin
JEREMIAD was born from the belief that clothing should be crafted thoughtfully and worn meaningfully.
For years, we watched the fashion industry accelerate into a cycle of overproduction and waste.
“Sustainable” became a checkbox, “ethical” became a buzzword, fast fashion became faster, and consumers were left with closets full of pieces that didn’t last, created by brands driven purely by profit.
We wanted to build something different.
The Spark
JEREMIAD was founded in Toronto, Ontario Canada by Emmanuel A. Frimpong.
It began as an exploration of style that extended beyond appearance — clothing that invited its wearer to feel aligned with a more conscious and positive way of moving through the world.
We sought minimalist pieces that didn’t compromise on quality, essentials that
didn’t contribute to pollution, and brands that didn’t hide behind greenwashing.
When we couldn’t find one, we created one.

The Logo
Long before modern science, people believed the universe was shaped by five elements — earth, air, fire, water, and a fifth, purer substance called quinta essentia. It was thought to be the essence that held everything together, the highest form of clarity and meaning. Over time, the idea evolved into a single word: quintessence — the purest expression of something.
Our logo is built on that idea.
It combines the symbol for Jupiter — associated with wisdom and higher consciousness — with a nondescript heart. The rising crescent beside the cross symbolizes the pursuit of something beyond materiality, a reminder to elevate our awareness and act with intention.
For us, that elevation begins with love. Love for craft, for people, for the planet, and for the responsibility that comes with creating anything new. The JEREMIAD mark represents that commitment: a blend of intellect and emotion, purpose and care, design and responsibility.
